The Alternative Information and Development Centre (AIDC) presented a debt testimony in the form of a documentary film to the International People's Tribunal on the Debt. The evidence sought to explain how certain debts are illegitimate because the contracting parties were illegitimate and the use of the loans contributed to the violation of the human rights of the population. The case of apartheid South Africa is presented.
