The Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) between the European Union and the African Caribbean Pacific countries were meant to have been concluded by January 2008. However, the negotiations have proven to be complex and time-consuming.

EJN has put together a policy brief giving a brief history of the events lying behind the current EPAs negotiations. The paper explains how EPAs are promoting disintegration in African regions.
