
Uganda has been selected among the 20 top priority countries worldwide to benefit from a new United States initiative to fight hunger and poverty. Feed the Future (FTF), the US government’s strategy for its global food and security initiative, was rolled out on Thursday, 20 May, in Washington DC. A press statement from the US Mission in Kampala said Uganda was selected to receive the bulk of the FTF funds over Shs70 billion, because of its potential for agriculture-led growth and strong country commitment.
